Took the Volvo FH 540 for a spin recently. The quiet engine operation caught my attention even at higher RPMs-a nice change when you're on long hauls. Ride feel is smooth, partly because of the suspension setup. Technology-wise, it assists rather than obstructs, which is appreciated. However, I had to adapt to the steering responsiveness, maybe just my preference. The functionality exceeds expectations for the most part.

I've had the chance to drive the Volvo FH 540 for a few jobs recently. A couple of things stand out to me. First, the adjustable load distribution system is really helpful when managing uneven loads. Helps reduce wear on the axles. However, the cabin electronics interface feels less intuitive than I'd prefer. Still, it's reliable and doesn't let you down. Mileage isn't bad either, and the overall build feels solid.

Used the Volvo FH 540 for a bit. Honest take? It's decent. Plenty of power for heavy loads, and the fuel efficiency isn't bad for its size. The crane system is intuitive, but takes time to get used to. The ride's a touch rough on bad roads, but that's expected with the payload it handles. Practical, reliable, and ensures logs are transported as required. Could consider minor tweaking inside the cabin.

Just spent some solid hours in the FH 540, pulling about 21t. The storage they built into this thing makes a big difference, especially with a single bunk setup. All those lockers and cubbies everywhere and the fridge’s sized right for a couple-days run. The bunk was better than I expected - I’m over 6 foot and didn’t feel cramped. Driver’s seat cover isn’t perfect-sorta slides around if you’re in and out a lot, but the grip on the wheel is good. The light switches and climate controls are in easy spots but honestly, the dash visibility’s decent, just wish it wasn’t so wide. Cab rides comfy enough, not air-ride on the front though, so you’ll still feel harder bumps, but can’t complain too much. All in, it’s a modern take that keeps you sorted for storage and comfort.

I've driven the Volvo FH 540 for a few months now, handling mainly container routes. The overall driving experience? Pretty solid. The steering response is precise, and the powertrain feels robust - never really yearned for more power. That said, a couple of annoyances stood out. The paint on the mudguards started peeling early on - apparently a common issue. Also, the infotainment system lacks Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, which is a bummer in today's age. The truck's reversing capability is superb. Still, minor oversights in cupholder placements seem odd for such a well-thought-out vehicle. But despite these grievances, it performs where it counts.
