This Mercedes-Benz LA 312-136, popularly known as the "Bollnose," marked the post-war reconstruction in the 1950s.

As the direct predecessor of the later 'Kurzhauber' generation, this model formed the basis for Mercedes-Benz's decades-long market leadership in the truck sector.
